Brandy M. Mason, LLPC
Welcome, I am Brandy M. Mason, a Licensed Clinical Counselor in the State of Michigan. I am a wife, mother of 5 children and a skilled healing helper! Thank you for visiting my website.
In 2014, I attended Ashland Theological University. I graduated receiving my Master's in Clinical Counseling. I worked in the Child Welfare division for over 8 years, assisting families in Foster Care with reunifications. The Child Welfare Agency that I worked for was a local non-profit organization within the Metro Detroit area. Years prior this agency was a safe haven for my siblings and I when we were removed from our abusive home. Throughout the years as a teenager I experienced trauma that no other child should endure. This in turn brought me closer to my faith and started me on a healing journey. Since that time as a teen I vowed to aid others along their healing path by providing counseling to individuals, couples and families experiencing severe trauma. Over the past decade I have helped with unaddressed mental illness, assisted individuals with addictions and maladaptive behaviors. I have also created and facilitated mental health workshops, wellness seminars, and support groups for teens and adults. I understand the importance of using your voice, as it is one of the most powerful tools given. Through my workshops I've taught groups of individuals how to utilize effective communication, understand the power of their voice, and identify triggers related to traumas. In addition to, I have conducted Wellness Seminars teaching the importance of mindfulness techniques and how to manage/reduce stress. This year (2023), I have added a new title to my profession. After self-publishing my first children's book I have earned the title author. "The Great Jungle Race: who will take 1st place?" is my most recent achievement! This book was written in 2020, a time when the world was experiencing fear, uncertainty, and grief. Although the story was written for children, it is my belief that a child-like faith can become a contagion that positively impacts us all!
